me the Castle of Toblino at the lake in the sun, which is light reflection in the water nice, the dark background gives the bright Castle a large contrast, I thinks the photo work is a little over-sharpened, pleases to the roof brick sees one it, otherwise an old architectural beauty at the water, thanks and regards Manfred

Excellent! Very well proportioned, framed and exposed. The contrast is just right with the background folliage. Too bad the water in most European rivers is no longer blue!

Hi Eugenio
A fine capture you made here, the depth in this one is really good, especially I like the bright castle against those dark mountain-sides. I think the lines that are created by the powerlines seems a bit distracting, but I know they can be difficult to avoid. The colors are good. Perhaps the entire reflection would have been nice to have, but we can't have it all, can we ;o) Keep clicking ;o)
Best regards, Thomas.

Hi! Nice photo with a good composition. The reflection in the water could be more complete to have a full view. The photo is a little bit oversahrpened though. Jose Paulo

Hi Eugenio, superb shot to this Castle, perfect technique, my little doubt on the light, the hour of the shot, that flattens a bit building's walls, and for compo a bit more space in upper part would take it to three..Thanks..Giorgio

I lovely building and I can like the approch to it. The lines in the back a slightly slightly distracting. I do not mind seeing some other houses in the back though. I think I would prefer if the building could come out and bite me just a bit more, perhaps if the roofs would have some more color. I guess that would not be possible, so can not quite see what should be different. I still have some kind of feel of wanting just a bit more.

Its a beautiful building well composed and with the contrast betwween the light foreground and dark background working well.I might have gone for half a stop more exposure to give a little more detail in the dark background but otherwise an excellent image.

Nice thing to see again Toblino's Lake and it's castle: I've fine remembers of fine moments there, so thanks for this Eugenio.

About the photo, I think you've been lucky with these so brilliant colours's contrast, and all this almost-blue's feeling (I have been in Toblino always in summer, when green is the dominant colour on the scene).
Maybe, a little "more lake" on the bottom could have added something of more smartness (in terms of composition) to the image. Fine thing, anyway.

Eugenio, beautiful castle, atmosphere and reflection. Great capture of this very nice panorama. Bel castello, bel panorama ed atmosfera l'unico piccolo difetto è la luce sulla facciata che spara un pò, almeno ai miei occhi :-) Ne approfitto anche per ringraziarti per la tua critica a structure#2. Ciao e buona giornata. Anna P.s: il mio inglese è un pò scarso :-D

Eugenio, beautiful castle in a fine nature. I think it looks more sharpened because the contrast of the bright walls and the dark bg is quite much. Very nice reflections and quite atmosphere. Would like to spend couple of days in there, should be beautiful inside as well. Regards, Güven.

Hi Eugenio, pretty small for a castle, my impression of one is a large fortified building with thick walls :D A great capture showing keen edged sharpness and the way this majestic building stands out against the darker and more striking background is excellent. And those reflections enhance the serenity of the picturesque scene. Regards, Fong

Castle and its reflection look good and might show better with a little softer touch. I like the darker background of the mountainside. Moving left a few steps probably avoids the background houses. Nice shot. Best wishes, Lamar.

With this one I like the mood of the sunlight in the foreground but not in the distance. I agree about the power lines but unfortunately I can offer no help there as my own Photoshop work requires more study. Actually they are really not so very visible here.

Yes, I wouldn't go much more than this with the sharpening. The slope of the top-left roof gives this away. I'd be curious to know which lens you've used here, Eugenio. Is this the kit lens? I'm in the market for a new one and am always eager to hear options from others.

Yes, I do like this light even though these castle walls come across as just slightly bright. Really it's a close call on that. I may be wrong. I'd almost like to see this from a longer perspective, but this is nice too.

Superb clarity and light, a very fine capture. i mostly like the way the fine building stands out in front of the darker and more dramatic background. The water in front with its reflections adds to the beauty of the scenery. A little less sharpening would be perfect. Regards, Hara

I follow Babu with the oversharpening criticism. Besides that, I must admit that I am not generally attracted to architectural shots but this is a great shot. Nice light, well composed and I'd really love to live in a property like this one. Have you got more captures with the reflection fully included?

Even though it look slightly over-sharpened I like it, a very nice and pleasant location and composition with reflections. Sunlight seems to be bit intense on the castle wall. The power/telephone lines at the right and a bit in the center are not nice.
