Eugegenio this is a breathtaking place some beauty how jealous I'm every time that I'm not there to see it myself. For me the country (if I'm right Northern Italy?) and the photo rates the maximum. Thanks for the experience.

Thanks Toni. It also serves a long wait to find the best lights.

surely a beautiful place, Eugenio, great mountain and lake, and especially nice castle

may I suggest a crop that would make the white sky part dissapear, so right at left of the flying bird, to the mountain touching the sky, right under, imagine a point there about 3cm from top and 7cm from left, them drag it to the bottom

it will also take the horizon from the center and put the accent more on the castle and its reflection

hoping you like my suggestion?

Jacline

Jacline Thanks for your suggestions are good. I wanted to leave left degrade the mountains in evanescence. Almost lost in white, to give depth.

The layered look of the mountains, with each appearing more washed out is very appealing to my eye. And I really like the composition - the placement of the castle, and the capture of each reflection on the water. Very nicely done. I would only suggest cloning out the flying bird - I had thought it was a spec of dust on my monitor (or more likely a cat hair at my house!). Thank you for sharing. Kevin

Thanks Kevin. I had I also thought me to raise the bird, but I liked the idea of the hawk that flies above the castle.

I don't know why but I feel it is a place where Loch Ness is often seen. Is this true? I mean was this shot taken in Scottland?

This lake is in northern Italy in the Alps. But could be in Scotland.
